2 years, 2 babies

Leaving Martha Jefferson Hospital with Eliza, November 2008

Leaving with Owen, October 2010
All I can say is I look tired in both pictures!

Owen Winslow Saunders

Baby brother finally made his appearance on Thursday, October 14th at 5:02 pm. He is very sweet and Eliza is enjoying being a Big Sister. Click here for lots of pictures!

Carter Mountain 2010

Baby Brother decided to give us a little more time as a family of three. Uncle Ben was in town for the FSU/UVA game, so the Adlers and NanaSue and Bapa came down for dinner Friday night. Saturday, Jenny and Bella went to Carter Mountain with us while Max and Lee were at the game. We're glad we got to go to the Apple Harvest Festival, but we are really ready for this little guy to make his appearance now!

Fun at Yoder's Country Market

On Saturday Eliza and I met Mom, Jenny, Bella, and Max at Yoder's Country Market in Madison. The kids got to pet and feed some goats (or doggies as Eliza called them) and chickens.

Getting Ready for Baby Boy

We've been in our house for one year now! We didn't realize we would grow into (or out of) it as quickly as we are, but with Baby # 2 on the way we are slowly but surely doing the room shuffle. We're condensing the office and guest room into one room and moving Eliza into a "Big Girl" room. Then we'll need to paint the nursery since it's pink. The new crib bedding has some elephants on it so I looked around on Etsy to find some wall art. I got these today and love them!

Next week I go back to school 2.5 days a week for 7 weeks. (Or less if the baby so decides.) It's going to be interesting to see how it all plays out because both sets of grandparents are going to Europe on either side of the due date! We have about 3 days right before the due date when both will be in town. I suppose baby could also come late like his sister and everybody would be here. At this point it's hard to imagine going much past October 3rd. At least it will be cooler then.

Night Night Baby

Eliza has really gotten into playing with her baby doll.
Tonight she put Baby to bed.

1. Get a blanket.

2. Put Baby in her bed (drawer - where did she get that idea?).

3. Tell her, "Night Night."

4. Give her a kiss.

5. Climb into the drawer with her.

6. Night Night!
