Fall

Fall is here and it's finally starting to feel like it. 90 degrees doesn't make you feel like carving a pumpkin! Last weekend was nice, but a little warm.
On Saturday, TJ and I ran in the Clark Elementary School Super Achiever 5k. The Colonel was supposed to run with me, but bruised knee bones (from a soccer game) relegated him to recording times at the finish line. Results aren't posted yet, but I don't have anything to brag about. I was pleased to finish in the same time as the 5k in May, given that Saturday's race was in Belmont with a few hills, and I haven't been running as much with school in full swing.
Really I was just helping TJ train for Machu Picchu. She left Thursday and I'm not sure exactly when she was starting the hike, but she's going to be doing some serious trekking!

I purchased a new/old digital slr camera that I am excited about. I have had very little time to sit down and learn about it, but I have been snapping some pictures here and there.

I have a lot to learn with the new camera. Right now there are just so many different buttons and functions...I have no clue what I am doing. We'll see how it goes though.
The Colonel's parents are in town and I think we are going to head to the downtown mall this evening to enjoy the weather. With UVA playing at 7, we are hoping it won't be too crowded. Life here is boring, but pleasant!
