James River Cabin

A few weekends ago, we went to a cabin at James River State Park with the Ochs.  There were 4 adults, 4 kids, and 3 dogs in a 3 bedroom cabin!  It actually went really well and the rain held off so that we could be outside for most of the day Saturday.
For the kids, it was just fun to have 2 sleepovers!

Saturday morning we went for a hike down to the river.

Liam was super excited.

Ruby, Hazel, and Brinkley went for a swim.

At least the dogs were tired when we got back.
(Apparently Ruby will cuddle with anyone, not just Hazel)

The kids hid in a closet and Ben threw the door opened and "roared" at them.
It was the most hilarious thing they had ever seen!

That afternoon we hiked up into the woods to the Tye River Overlook.

The guys took the kids fishing later that afternoon and we made s'mores on the campfire after dinner.

The next morning we had to clean up and check out, so the dogs babysat.

We had a great time with great friends!
